And of course to all the mothers out there, especially my mother, R's mother, and my friends who are new mothers and celebrating their first Mother's Day.
The original plan was for Julia and I to meet up with a friend of mine to take some six-month photos of the babe, which I was looking forward to because I'm so rarely in a photo with Julia - I have plenty of her and R together but so few of her and me - but that got postponed (feel better S!). So I recruited R, packed up the babe, and the three of us headed to the park this afternoon instead, figuring that if we just take enough photos, surely a handful of them would be in focus, have Julia looking cute, and me not looking like a monster.
Here are my favorites:
(Oh wait - first, here's how I found Julia when R was watching her while I was packing up our stuff to go -

"Did you realize you've been putting me in this thing backwards this whole time, Mom?" |
And here are the actual park photos:

"Necklace necklace necklace" |

Seeing a theme here? |

We both look a little surprised at what's happening. |

This reminds R and I of Calvin & Hobbes so it might be an all-time favorite. Doesn't she look like she's scheming? |

And this warms my heart. |
I've got some more but I'm having a hard time uploading them at the moment, so I guess I'll have a follow-up post tomorrow.
Happy day!
